Hop on the Bus Safari. We are going on a jungle tour in the kindergarten classroom. It will be so much fun for the kids, and I guarantee that you will enjoy yourself.
Here are some ideas on how to start your jungle theme lesson plan and keep a few ideas, as long as your child is interested in the activity.
Here is how to introduce the topic:
Day 1 Ask the children if they know what means “jungle” the word. Explain what a jungle for those who do not know, and have a picture of a jungle, so that they can associate the picture with the description.
Day 2 * Do you have books in the library of the jungle and the animals that live in the jungle. You can type a mix of young comics and real life children’s books. (Your local library should be able to find books to help you.)
Day 3 * Find pictures of jungle animals in magazines, books, Internet, Calendar, or where you can find them, laminate, and it shows on the walls around the classroom.
Day 4 Put the jungle themed toys on the shelf of toys and place a few puzzles on the puzzle in the jungle
Day 5 Find a CD with the music theme of the jungle and the game play over time, after you talk about the jungle.
* If no pictures or books you have, a variety of indigenous peoples show, you might tribal masks for a creative art to make and the kids can wear them in the middle of the drama.
You can also use a few paper towel tubes, pipe cleaners, markers, googly eyes, etc., on the set of art and see what create the animals they.
Examples of animals that you can enter through books and pictures:
Panthers
Snakes
Bear
Monkeys
Zebras
Giraffes
Elephants
Cheetahs
Alligators
Rhino
Birds
Hippo
Feel free to have an open discussion with the children. Talk about the colors of animals, their teeth, their eyes, the animal is considered the best in each child, etc.
If you wish, you may also feel that the animals eat, but make sure you keep it simple.Children at this stage of life do not need to learn the simple words carnivore, herbivore, etc. Just keep it like saying, a leopard eats meat, eats fruit monkey, giraffe eats leave large trees, etc.
The kids will probably want to know where the houses are animals in the jungle. This information should be readily available through books and pictures that you have. If not, the library books on individual animals you speak of, gives you the information you need.
Here are some examples to get started:
The animals find homes in their habitat (the jungle), they make a house of animal origin for themselves and their families.
Main animals in the jungle could be a nest, a cave, a cave under a rock, in a hollow tree trunk, high up in the trees, etc.
You can then talk about what animals live in a tree could live under a rock, etc.
To include this topic in different program areas of the classroom, some examples might be:
Create a jungle theme for the dramatic play center:
Take a jeep jungle safari by jeep or by car or on a field, place 4 chairs with a stand-up tour in front of a chair.
Get hats, safari in search.
Twin children.
Pretend cameras.
Photos go jungle animals on the wall and see your preschoolers wild about this topic. :)
Here is an idea of ??sand sensory
Put a little sand in the tank senses.
Here are a few small rubber or plastic animals * Sand can be found in the jungle.(Snakes, beetles, insects, etc.)
Place these items in the tray sensors and complete.
* I’ve been very successful in finding almost everything I need dollar store. The look, I’m sure you will find what you are looking for.
Just as creative as possible with this topic. The possibilities are endless when your mind to it. While listening to jungle music, you can integrate creative movement in this. Have children choose an animal they like to do so as and move to music like that would of animals. There are no right or wrong move, the children will have fun.
You can also participate in the issue of gross external motor. You could use some of the outdoor drama as hats, binoculars, cameras, etc. Put a few stuffed animals here and there on the playground (make sure to wash it when you bring them to day) and go hunting safari.
Children can use the bike and go on their own tour, they can on a go “lion / bear hunt”, you can run “fear” of the animals you have, you can tilt the toe and foot of the animals ”sleep”.
Remember, your imagination and develop what children say and do.
